Our First Visits

During the week in Kyzl-orda, we visited Danielle every day from 10:00-11:30 am and 5:00-6:30 p.m. We played with her and fed her. We took lots of pictures. She slowly warmed up to us, and she began to recognize us when we came back to see her. On Wednesday, Feb. 21 we went to court. After an hour of questioning, the judge granted us custody of Danielle. We knew to carry tissues by this time! More tears flowed as he officially made us Danielle’s parents.
